The Commissioners did not meet on Monday.
Tuesday, June 30, 2026 AM
• The commissioners discuss Sunday’s wildfire in Commissioner Hover’s District. He applauds the decision to call for air support right away.
• The commissioners and Planning Director Pete Palmer discuss potential changes to the zone code for datacenters. They consider changes in the District Use Chart to allow datacenters in areas zoned “Industrial” and require a Conditional Use Permit. Director Palmer points out that the PUD already has a moratorium on datacenters and to get a permit from the county, the datacenter would be required to have a letter from the PUD saying they’ve got the infrastructure to support it.
• Director Palmer also reviews a list of issues the Planning Department has with cannabis growers.
• During the Veterans’ Advisory Board update, Dale White says that the most underserved veterans in the county are women and he will try to reach out to them more. Many don’t know that they could qualify for benefits.
• Meeting adjourned at 11:30.
