Hi all! This Tuesday's Signal & Form is a two-hour biographical portrait of one of the most singular bands American music has produced in the last thirty years — Sleepytime Gorilla Museum. I'll be tracing their full arc: from a Berkeley co-op cassette recorded in 1987, through three era-defining albums, a thirteen-year hiatus, and a 2024 reunion record that sounds like they never left.
Along the way we'll hear from the side projects that shaped the people who built this band — Tin Hat Trio, Faun Fables, Idiot Flesh, Charming Hostess, Free Salamander Exhibit, and more.
