Eight of our feathered ladies appear to have eloped on February 14th.
There were no signs of predation, no scattered feathers, and no dramatic barnyard crime scene. Just… gone. Adding to the mystery, our treat cup somehow migrated from the coop to the run door — which suggests this may have been less “wildlife” and more “walked off.”
We’re grateful for this community and not looking to ruffle feathers — just hoping that if anyone saw something unusual, heard about surprise new chickens in the neighborhood, or has any leads at all, you’d let us know.
Our coop is noticeably quieter. Any information is appreciated.
