Stolen Antique/Vintage Rugs Carpets
My storage unit by OK Cascades was broken into this weekend. My collection of rugs and carpets was taken. They are from room sized wool persian to 1900s to 1930s rose style runners and scatter rugs. I was saving them for my house when it was finished. If you see someone is selling one or more around the valley, please contact me at **7*0775. Im heartbroken.

Fair warning. The pickup truck came at two in the morning and stayed two hours. You might want to check your unit because two hours is too long to search my unit. I am so upset and angry if I came face to face with them, even in my physical shape I would shred them.

Re: Stolen Antique/Vintage Rugs Carpets
I had a table saw stolen from a job site in Twisp.
The owner of the project and I drove past all the known drug houses.
He spotted the orange cord of my saw peaking out from under a blanket in one side yard.
We then confronted the dwellers and retreaved it.
So maybe cruise town and see if your rugs are being used as curtains at the suspect locations?
Or as an entry rug.
Crackers aren't too smart.
Best wishes

Re: Stolen Antique/Vintage Rugs Carpets
I would be willing to forfeit the other contents that were taken from the unit if the rugs were returned to me. I have collected them over my lifetime and they are (were) for this house. No charges would be brought and it would be dropped.
I know its a wild stab in the dark but someone knows where they are and who took them.
Please?

The Internet sleuthing is necessary of course but since tweakers generally aren't real big on making Better Homes and Gardens and would prefer cash, I'd also look for them to be laundered (pun intended) through yard sales, either via a neighbour/local acquaintance but most likely in perhaps Wenatchee or Omak where they would be much less likely to be recognised.

I always felt it was okay to ask, no won't kill me. I would say that you are right although my heart is saying something else. Yeah, its just material things. Yeah, in the big picture, if thats the worse thing that happens to me I'll be very lucky. But hard core bottom line? I walked on those rugs in every house I had and dammit! they were mine! A person can chose to do drugs and unfortunately, they should figure out how to pay for them without ripping people off. Yeah, tweekers do not have honor, just bad teeth.
