• During public comments, Angie Morgan-Chilmonik tells the commissioners about her discussions with the mayor and councilmembers of Okanogan about why they declined to join the county’s Drug Task Force. Commissioner Hover thanks her for the information and will discuss the issue further with the mayor and councilmembers.
• Commissioner Timm wants the entire commission to hear a presentation from Rebuilt, an addiction recovery program in Spokane with a unique model, the first in the nation, and a success rate of 60%. Commissioner Hover agrees to hear their presentation.
• Commissioners meet with three people from the state’s Department of Enterprise Services (DES) who are working with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife negotiate a new lease for the Ringhoffer building. They hear the DFW’s proposal and will formulate a counterproposal next week when Commissioner Neal returns from Washington DC.
• Meeting adjourned for the day at 11:15.
