Post by micahalyn » Sun Dec 21, 2025 12:59 pm

Howdy,

We are redoing so cabinets and are looking for wood to put on top for countertops. We have considered milling some wood to make the counters. Does anyone have any that we can mill?

One option to consider is grizzly tools in Bellingham. They sell butcher block top what I would consider a very reasonable price. Of course the highway is closed now, so it would not be the easiest to go pick up, better once the pass opens

I also have a nice mill, but I don’t run it in the winter, you would have to wait till spring

Home Depot sells butcher block in 4', 6', and 8' x 25" pieces. Engineered or milled wood.

If you interested in a danish oil finished pine slab ~20” x 12-13’. I’ve got just the thing for you! I’ve seen it as great looking countertop. The bluing came out darker than I had wanted for this project. Shoot a text if interested….bueller…406 212 9497.
