Edelweiss Maintenance Commission (EMC) is recruiting for an Operations Manager (OM)

The ‘OM’ is responsible for maintenance of Community assets including Water Systems, roads, common areas, campground, refuse building, pool, pool house and community properties in general and must be able to operate a tractor, plow and sanding truck.The position requires a Washington State Waterworks Operators Certificate that can be obtained on the job.

The OM reports directly to the EMC Board of Directors and works at its direction. This is a part-time ( 80-100 hours/month) position with flexible hours. Candidate must be well organized, have strong communication and interpersonal skills, be self-motivated and independent, and be able to respond to emergencies. Compensation is 50k annually, plus reimbursements for phone and mileage.

The successful candidate will start on a limited, hourly basis shadowing the retiring OM starting in December 2025 then transition to full responsibilities and salary January 1, 2026. Starting Wage: 30/hr, transitioning to full-salary by January 1, 2026.


EMC Operations Manager

• Part-time position, Approximately 80-100 hrs Per Month. 50k Annual Salary, Paid Mileage and Phone Bill.

• The Ideal Candidate is Reliable, Self Motivated and Has Experience in Maintenance Management, Construction or Other Related Trades.

• Must be available and On-Call for Emergencies, Schedule Includes Occasional Weekends and Evenings.

• Reliable Transportation is Necessary.

• Previous Maintenance Management Experience Preferred but not Required, we can train the right person.

Requirements:

• HS Diploma or Equivalent
• Reliable Transportation
• Ability to Convey Thoughts and Concepts in a Written Manner
• Access to internet and phone
• Must be able to lift over 60lbs and perform physical labor
• Ability to Work Independently without Supervision
• Must obtain Water Distribution Manager certification within six months of employment
• Ability to Perform Road Grading, Sanding and Snow Plowing as Necessary

Experience:

• Previous Maintenance Management Experience Preferred but not Required
• Experience in Plumbing, Electrical, Construction, and Repair is Helpful, but not required
• Proven Ability to Work Independently Necessary

Duties:

• Maintain and Monitor Community Water System
• Water Testing and Meter Monitoring
• Maintain and Monitor Community Roads System
• General Groundskeeping Duties
• Open and Close the Community Pool Seasonally
• Oversee Water System Upgrade Projects
• Work with Contractors on Repair and Improvements to Road Systems
• On-Call and Able to Respond to Emergency Situations in a Timely Manner
• Oversee Snow Removal and Perform Sanding in the Winter.
• Work with the EMC Board of Directors and Committees to Improve EMC Functions
• Purchase and Maintain Supplies for Daily Functions
