First Tuesday: Cascades Wolverine Project
When: Tuesday, November 4, at 7pm.
Where: Twisp River Tap House
Cascades Wolverine Project is a grassroots effort to support wolverine recovery in the North Cascades. The group monitors this elusive mountain carnivore through winter field surveys and a year-round community science program that relies on observations from alpine recreationists. Join the Methow Conservancy for a free talk by project co-founder Steph Williams to learn more about wolverines in our region, gain insights from eight years of monitoring effort, and hear Steph's thoughts on the future of humans and wolverines sharing the mountains we all love.
The presentation is free, open to the public, and begins at 7pm. If you'd like to come early and order drinks and food to enjoy before or during the presentation, feel free to arrive any time after 5pm.
Next Generation Happy Hour: After the talk, we're having a special happy hour for the next generation of conservationists. If you're under 40, stick around for drinks and conversation.
