Don't miss Thornton Wilder's Pulitzer prize winning play, which recently had a revival on Broadway. Some of the themes might more easily grasped by adults, so you might want to find a pdf copy online and peruse it if you're wondering about bringing young children.
Please be in our audience and support these wonderful actors!
Thanks!

So you know, 19 local actors are on stage for this show! They are all fabulous.

We have our tickets for opening night! I haven’t read or seen Our Town before, but I’m especially interested after reading Tom Lake by Ann Patchett. Some of the characters in that book are actors putting on the play Our Town.

Tom Lake is such a great companion piece for Our Town. One of the teen actors read it and was inspired to audition. Thank you for supporting The Merc! See you at the theater.

My, wasn't life awful—and wonderful?"

In the tiny town of Grover's Corners, something incredible is about to happen. You think you know this story, but you've never truly seen it. This is not just a play; it's a profound, surprising, and unforgettable look at the miracle of being alive.

Emily asks, "Do any human beings ever realize life while they live it?"

These compelling words convey the emotional core of the play.

Come see what it's all about.

October 9-19. Get your tickets now and help keep our wonderful theater thriving.

Thanks for the Tom Lake recommendation. I borrowed it from the library and enjoyed the book as much as I enjoyed the play Our Town the last time I saw it.

OUR TOWN is such a wonderful play. See me in the role of the scandalous "town drunk". Don't wait to get your tickets, go to Mercplayhouse.org. Play runs October 9 - 19, with both evening and matinee performances.
