Rattlesnake Aversion Training for dogs?

Anyone know if there will be an aversion training this spring, or if it happened already?

classes cost about $75 as I recall 10 years ago. We put that money into a collar, which is what they use, and we found a squished road snake and tied it to a string. When the dog went for the snake they got a little zing. After that even when he wasn't wearing his collar, if he saw another squished road snake, he would not let us near it. And he stayed back.

I know this, the class worked on my Elk Hound. The next spring we ran into a nest of garter snakes and the old boy took off,, Bruce Herron WOlf Creek

It's usually in June. Contact Methow Valley Veterinary Hospital, they usually organize this. Very effective!!

Thanks for the info all. And thanks for the idea Navis, yeah $75 is a bit more than I'm looking to pay for someone to shake a snake at my dog. If anyone happens to find any road casualties, give me a holler!
