Say, anyone know about the fire that is causing all this smoke,
and purple air quality? Hazardous level air being measured right now on Twisp River Road.

Forest Service is burning piles and underburning in Libby Cr. area. Smith Canyon today. They said Twisp, Winthrop could see smoke and experience it.
This was on Facebook. Yes, it's nasty but they will get it done. Supposed to be more but they didn't say when.
Prescribed burning update April 18, 2025:
Smoke from the prescribed burn in Smith Canyon, 3 miles NW of Carlton, WA, may settle in overnight with possible impacts to Lower Twisp River Valley, Poorman Creek, and the town of Twisp. Thank you for your patience.
