No water on Englar Street

We have no water here on Englar St. and probably other Winthrop locations, too. My husband called Jake, the Superintendent of Public Works. Jake says there was a water main break and they’re fixing it as quickly as they can. Should be a couple of hours.

Hope it goes faster for you than it has for us. We are now into week five in which no water has flowed from the Winthrop mains. Luckily, generous neighbors have allowed us to tap into their frost free faucets the last two weeks, so we have water for all but drinking. Still carrying that in gallon jugs.
