drone vehicle on twisp river road?

Strangely, it sounds like that lawnmower-in-the-sky, passenger drone that flew over the valley often this summer is now going up and down the Twisp River Road. It couldn't actually be a drone ground vehicle, could it be?

I can only hear it, going up & down and up & down, many times yesterday and it has started up again today.

Anyone know what that is, or why it's going up & down the road repeatedly? It's very loud, even with the doors & windows closed on the house. Yikes. And thanks.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. This craft/vehicle/whatever is not in the sky, but seems to be on the road, though I can't see through the trees across the river to identify what it is.

But it sounds an awful lot like that passenger drone that flew over the Twisp River, back & forth, this summer. And this sound has been going up & down the road, although it is now less active than it was yesterday.

UPDATE: Well, it turns out that I now see that craft in the sky, so who knows how it has sounded like it's going up & down the road! Maybe just echoing in the river canyon, up & down the canyon. hmmmm. But mystery solved, I think.

Oh, just saw your addition that it is the drone. Haven't heard or is it herd, it up this way.

This drone is really getting on my nerves. While I haven't heard it personally up on Newby Creek, my neighbors seem to and are feeling terrorized by it. How has it not been identified yet?

It has been frequently pointed out that it is a manned experimental aircraft, all electric. Did a demonstration at the high school and one of the fly-ins.

Not a drone.

It's absolutely not extreme to be tired of the drone activity, knowing that the last year (at least) someone is running a noisy machine at all hours day and night that is disrupting pretty much all of my neighbors on a weekly basis. All for what... grown up toys?
