In Europe, a person can go to their equivalent of Home Depot and walk out with a solar panel and do-it-yourself (or hire someone to do it) kit. Not legal here, but the time's coming.

Third Act Washington (TAWA) volunteers will travel around the state this summer to demonstrate balcony (plug-in) solar panels. Also to talk with voters and their representatives about legislation allowing plug-in solar, and ways that we can lower the costs of roof-top solar permitting. If interested...
