Scape butter on toast or pasta! So many scapes, so little time. No I don't have scapes or grow garlic but am debating whether to snap some off for growers that don't use them.

Got that right about the snow load. I suspect those sticks, unless they were metal and welded, would snap off. Stick to the vertical fencing, I say and yes mine sags and at times has to be repaired but it's not major.

Another fencing idea which I have seen is to have a fence about 5' high, slanted slightly outward, and then put sticks that poke outward too. Seems like a hassle but have heard it works. Our fence is about 6' but has the advantage of a slope below the fencing. No way they can get in. Turkeys on the ...

I've never seen such a display of sunflowers in all the years I have been here. Check out the Meadowlark trail near Sun Mtn. The meadows are just glowing.
