Lost dogs - Twisp Burgar Street

Puppy and older male. Male has collar and tags but not willing to come near. Also has broken frayed red rope on his neck. Mostly white with brown patches- look like terrier - bull dog mix.
Running around the neighborhood at 10-11 am

Re: larches out anywhere?

No. E just came over the pass and no color yet. A review of my photos in years past shows earliest I’ve seen them at high elevations like the Mt Tiffany trail was Sept 29. By Oct 4 they have been on the Washington pass trails. By Nov 9 the whole Loup Loup pass area is turned.

Perilous FS Road 42

Decided to take a scenic drive back from Omak but regretted choosing Forest Service Road 42 from Conconully to Loup Loup. Spent a white-knuckle hour or so on a section that is no way suitable for your normal driver like me even in my truck- let alone a passenger car. Did vandals knock down the “Aban...

Re: Looking to install a Level 2 charger

I’m working through the process myself for our house. Not sure if you mean you are looking for an electrician or for oversight as a DIY project. A homeowner can pull their own permit through the department of Labor and Industries for an electrical car charging circuit- provided they do all the work ...

Re: Rusty/corten/patina steel panels needed

The folks at Methow Lumber helped me order the heavier gauge non-galvanized corrugated sheet metal for my project. Here are some lessons learned: I didn't need the heavier gauge but it was the deeper channel (3/4 inch) look that I liked. I ordered a eight foot long section (it comes in 12 foot) but ...

Re: Tips for planting ponderosa?

Yes the native plant nursery by the interpretive center in Twisp usually has Ponderosa pines in different sizes. They also will be given out at the Arbor Day events in Twisp. You can get a planting guide from the nursery or Arbor Day events. Some other tips: water using slow drip or bubbler and soak...
